Br. Prem Bhai was a missionary in Arunachal Pradesh for almost 25 years despite strict government restrictions on such activities in the province under law those caught were subject to fines of 10,000 rupees and two years imprisonment.
The 12-minute film documents the work of Br. Prem, allowing him to chance to tell his story one of a remarkable missionary who resembles those a modern day St Paul - frequently having to disguise himself to gain access to the restricted province of Arunachal Pradesh and suffering repeated arrest, imprisonment, and beatings.
Because of the work of missionaries like Br Prem, Christians now make up 55% of the population in Arunachal Pradesh; many are doctors, lawyers or engineers, and members of the local government.
The Benedictine passed away on June 28 2008 in Colombo, Sri Lanka of a massive heart attack the previous day; he was on a missionary tour of Sri Lanka at the time.
