Litany of a Parish

Lord, have mercy on us:
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
O Christ, hear us.
O Christ, graciously hear us.
O God the Father of Heaven,
Have mercy on us miserable sinners.
O God the Son, Redeemer of the world,
Have mercy on us miserable sinners.
O God the Holy Ghost,
Have mercy on us miserable sinners.
O Holy, Blessed, and Glorious Trinity,
Three Persons and one God,
Have mercy upon us miserable sinners.

Be favorable: Spare us, O Lord.
Be favorable: Hear us, O Lord.

O Jesus, Shepherd and Bishop of souls
Who hast been pleased to send labourers
into this part of Thy vineyard,
Have mercy upon us.

From all sin and evil,
O Lord, deliver us.
From pride and self-pleasing,
O Lord, deliver us
From unbelief and distrust,
O Lord, deliver us
From the spirit of disobedience,
O Lord, deliver us
From weariness in well-doing,
O Lord, deliver us
From sloth and discontent,
O Lord, deliver us
From doing Thy work negligently,
O Lord, deliver us
From impurity of body and mind,
O Lord, deliver us
From envy and jealousy,
O Lord, deliver us
From irreverence in Thy holy service,
O Lord, deliver us
From neglect of Thy Sacraments,
O Lord, deliver us
From the persecution of men,
O Lord, deliver us
From the crafts and assault of the devil,
O Lord, deliver us
In all temporal and spiritual distress,
O Lord, deliver us
By the Mystery of Thy Holy Incarnation,
O Lord, deliver us
By Thy Fasting and Temptation,
O Lord, deliver us
By Thy holy conversation and labours,
O Lord, deliver us
By Thy toils and weariness,
O Lord, deliver us
By Thy Passion and Death,
O Lord, deliver us
By Thy Resurrection and Ascension,
O Lord, deliver us
By the grace of the Holy Ghost,
O Lord, deliver us
In the day of Judgement,

We sinners do beseech Thee to hear us,
O Savior of the world,
and that it may please Thee to guide and govern the Church of this land in the right way,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to endue the Bishop
of this Diocese with singular gifts of the Holy Ghost,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is my please Thee to bless the Pastor of this place, and all who labor with him, and to hallow them for Thy work,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That it may please Thee to bless the communicants, and to grant that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge of Thee,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to give to them the spirit of brotherly love,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to help and succour them in all temporal or spiritual trouble,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to bring them to frequent and worthy receptions of Thy Holy Sacrament,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to give them true repentance,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to restore all who have fallen from the Faith,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to convert wholly to Thy truth those who are almost persuated,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to enlighten the ignorance of those who oppose themselves,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to arouse the indifferent, to soften the hardened to give courage to the cowardly,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That it may please Thee to comfort the sick and the dying,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That in may please Thee especially to bless our Schools and to grant that they may bring up sons and daughters for Thy Church,
We beseech Thee to hear us.

We beseech Thee to hear us.
That it may please Thee to inspire us to know Thy will and to give us a will and strength to perform the same,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to supply all our temporal needs,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That it may please Thee to reward our benefectors who are yet alive with spiritual and temporal blessings,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That is may please Thee to give eternal rest and peace to all our benefactors departed this life in Thy faith and fear,
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That it may please Thee to grant that Thy holy will may be entirely done in us, by us, and Through us, Son of God, and Savior of the world,

O Lamb of God,
who takest away the sins of the world:
Send us Thy grace,
O Lamb of God,
who takest away the sins of the world:
Pour upon us the Holy Ghost.
O Lamb of God,
who takest away the sins of the world:
Have mercy upon us, and give us peace.

O Christ, hear us:
O Christ, graciously hear us.
Lord, have mercy upon us:
Christ have mercy upon us: Lord, have mercy upon us.

Our Father.

Let us pray:
Almighty and everlasting God, Whose judgements are righteous, and whose ways are unsearchable; and Who in the midst of wrath dost yet remember mercy, forgive us, we beseech Thee, our sins: grant us entire submission to Thy Holy Will in all things; suffer us not to fall away from Thee, but keep us from all sin, and adorn our lives with solid piety, that others seeing our good works may glorify Thee our Heavenly Father.

O God, by Whose mercy the world doth subsist, and to Whose power every people on the earth is subject, have mercy upon this Church, (and upon all others connected with us by the ties of holy Brotherhood,) and according to our necessities, which are all known to Thee, so pour forth Thy blessings upon us, that by the help of Thy grace, we may be in all things well pleasing in Thy sight.

Hear Thy servants we meekly beseech Thee, O heavenly Father, who pray for this Church and flock. Assist us in these our supplications and prayers; and dispose the way of Thy servants towards the attainment of everylasting salvation, that among all the changes and chances of this mortal life, we may ever be defended by Thy most gracious and ready help, through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever on God, world without end.
Amen
